Rabbi Cookie Lea Olshein is the Associate Rabbi at Congregation Beth Israel here in Austin, was our guest speaker for the Thursday Social on March 22, 2012. The topic of her talk was "What is Judaism ?".

 On February 25th- March 4th, The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) Austin Chapter organized an Exhibition of Islamic Heritage - Living Together under the Same Sky. Islamic civilization, one of the greatest civilizations, which served as the foundation of our modern world, stretched from southern Spain as far as China. From the 7th century onwards, the discoveries made by men and women in Muslim civilization have left their mark on the way we live today. 

Dr. Antony Baker, Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at the Seminary of Southwest, was our guest speaker for the Thursday Social on January 26, 2012. The topic of his talk was "What is Christianity".

On Feb 9th, The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID)Austin Chapter's Thursday Social event was featured by Iqbal Sheik President & CEO CyberTex Communications Inc. The topic of the night was "Entrepreneurship". The definition of entrepreneurship is more than simply starting a business. This is a process thought which individuals identify opportunities, allocate resources and create value.
