People of various nationalities and religions gathered at dinner tables
Wednesday for the seventh annual Interfaith Dialog and Friendship
Dinner at Oklahoma State University.
"It's important to bring people from different faiths and backgrounds
together at the same table to focus on common grounds and not
differences," OSU finance professor and Institute of Interfaith Dialog
volunteer Bilal Ertuk said. "If we can bring people together at the
same round table, I don't think there's a problem we couldn't solve."
Trip
Interfaith Trip to Turkey A group of people from Stillwater, Oklahoma visited Turkey between August 2-13, 2007. They visited 5 cities: Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Konya, and Urfa.
Conference
Violence and Religion Panel Stillwater IID and Interfaith Dialog Student Association of OSU organized a panel on "Violence and Religion" on March 26, Monday, 2007. The panel took place at 8:00 p.m. in Classroom Building Room 313 at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Speakers representing Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Baha'i Faith and Buddhism presented their faith's perspective of "Violence and Religion" which was followed by a question-answer session.

Fourth Annual Interfaith Dinner The fourth annual interfaith dialog dinner took place on October 3rd, 2006 at Student Union Ballroom in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Stillwater Mayor Roger L. McMillian, State Representative Lee Denney and Oklahoma State University Vice President Dr. Lee Bird were present at the dinner along with the representatives of different faith groups.
Talk Series
A panel on environment in world religions Stillwater IID and Interfaith Dialog Student Association of OSU organized a panel on environment in world religions on April 24th, 2006. There were six speakers representing Interfaith Council of OSU, Muslim Community, Unitarian Universalist Church of Stillwater, Baha'i Community, The Buddhist Student Association of OSU and Presbytarian Church. Each speaker delivered a short speech about their faith's perspective on the topic. A question-answer session took place at the end of speeches.

Third Annual Interfaith Dinner The third annual interfaith dinner took place on November 1st, 2005 at Student Union Ballroom in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The event was held also as the observation of Interfaith Dialog Day as announced and proclaimed by the former mayor Dr. Bud Lacy.

There were six speakers representing Islamic Community, Jewish Community, Baha'i Community, Hindu Community, United Methodist Church and Unitarian Universalist Church. Each speaker delivered a short speech about their faith's view of women rights. At the end of speeches a question-answer session took place.
