In response to the U.S. Embassy attack in Libya, representatives from the Oklahoma Institute of Interfaith Dialog and the Raindrop Turkish House, 4444 W. Houston St., issued a statement condemning the violence.
“The Institute of Interfaith Dialog and Raindrop Turkish House condemn, in the strongest possible terms the mindless and brutal attack against the U.S. Embassy in Libya,” according to the statement. |

Dr. Charles Kimball is Presidential Professor and Director of Religious Studies at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Between 1996 and 2008, he served as Chair of the Department of Religion and the Divinity School at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
On his speech, Dr. Kimball talked about the intersection of religion and politics, and its positive and negative effects on our lives and our attitudes towards people whom we consider as "others."
