Five people were hailed this week as heroes for the cause to promote peace and tolerance in Oklahoma

The Institute for Interfaith Dialog, Oklahoma City chapter, presented its first Peace and Dialogue Awards at a dinner and ceremony Tuesday at the Petroleum Club in downtown Oklahoma City.

Secretary Savage talks about the great impact of Turkey trip on her at the Governor`s Ethnic America

Secretary of State Susan Savage said it was while traveling in Turkey that she was struck by something about Oklahoma."It was while we were in Istanbul, and it struck me how important it is to have a point of contact for international relations," Savage told members of the Governor's Ethnic American Advisory Council during its meeting Friday. "That point of contact in Oklahoma is the Secretary of State's Office."

Luncheon Forum (Dan Boren, U.S. Congressman) was covered by the local media, as well. "Congressman Dan Boren addressed the Institute for Interfaith Dialogue luncheon meeting last week at the Raindrop Turkish House on Classen Boulevard in Oklahoma City."

The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID), Oklahoma City office hosted its 6^th Luncheon Forum on February 16, 2009 with the participation of about 70 guests. The guest speaker was Congressman Dan Boren (D-OK) who represents Oklahoma's 2^nd congressional district.
