The Institute of Interfaith Dialog and Raindrop Turkish House organized the Dialog and Friendship Dinner on November 10th at 6:00pm 2011 at Marriott Pyramid Hotel in Albuquerque.Lauren Zakalik, from Koat 7 ABC channel, MC of the dinner introduced the key note speaker, Mayor of Albuquerque, Richard J. Berry,to address about the importance of diversity in American Society. Representatives from different organizations such as media, elected officials, clergy, leader of communities, joined the dinner.

Representatives from different walks of life such as local media, elected officials, clergy, leader of communities, and business people, joined the dinner. The Honorable Chief Justice, Charles Daniels was the key note speaker. New Mexico Senators Bill Payne and Tim Keller and Representative Rick Miera were the Host Committee.

On September 8th 2011, Thursday, the clergy from different faiths, Christians, Muslims and Jews and UNM faculty members discussed on how to build peaceful world and prevent another September 11. The event organized by Institute of Interfaith Dialog took place at the new Turkish Cultural Center on 7901 Mountain Rd, NE, Albuquerque, NM. The attendance to the event was in a good number and the speakers were Dr. Covarrubias, Rev. McNeil and Dr. Akhil.
