The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) has organized a program titled '' Learning About Thanksgiving'' on Monday night Nov7th ,2011.Pastor Nathan Allan from Joy Lutheran Church presented the significance of "Thanksgiving'' from the perspective of Christianity. More than 20 people attended the event from Joy Lutheran Church and Turkish Community.
The event started with an introduction about "Interfaith Peace Garden" which is a new project in Houston, Texas. The "Garden" will have church, synagogue and a mosque next to each other in the same place. And it will not serve only as a place of worship but serve as a learning center, library, event venue.
Pastor Allan, on his speech marked importance of "Thanksgiving" and "How we can thank to god?" The attendees of the event had learned new many things.
At the end of the night the attendees enjoyed delicious Turkish food which was provided by volunteers of IID.
