9/11 What have we learned in 10 years?
The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID), and the Intercultural and Interfaith Dialog Student Association (IIDSA) hosted a panel discussion with the topic "9/11 What have we learned in 10 years?". It has been 10 years since the tragedy of 9/11 which had a great impact in our lives at home and abroad.
There are still lots to discuss what has been done in 10 years and what could be done to prevent another 9/11 or to restore peace around the globe. The speakers of the event discussed from different perspectives what lessons we have derived in the past years to form a basis for future policies and acts.
Date: Sept 28th, 2011 Wednesday Time: 12:00-2:00 pm. Place: Alderson Auditorium, Kansas Union
Speakers: Ken McGovern, Douglas County Sheriff, Dr. David J. Gottlieb, Professor of Law, KU, Dr. Brent Steele, Associate Professor of Political Science, KU
We would like to thank our speakers for their time and a rich panel discussion...
