The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) hosted University
of Texas El Paso (UTEP) and El Paso Community College (EPCC) students. Members of different
faith and cultural background were seated around a table and enjoyed
conversation during the dinner. The meals were prepared by the local IID members of the Turkish
community. The interaction among the cultures and faiths represented was heart warming.
IID programs, activities, and upcoming events presented to guests.

The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) Representatives of El Paso had a courtesy visit to State, County, and City officials. IID representatives received warm welcome by the officials. IID volunteers gave brief information about IID, upcoming event of the institute, and talked about Turkey trips. Both parties emphasized the importance of working together closely by touching base the necessity of interfaith/intercultural dialogue in today's world.

El Paso chapter of the Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) has started Friday Socials. With the sponsorship of
Raindrop Turkish House, IID brought different members of El Paso Community
together at "Friday-Social" program. Participants
enjoyed eating Turkish food prepared by local Turkish-American volunteer families. Dr.Joe Heyman, Chairperson of Dept. of Anthropology at UT El Paso shared his Spain trip experience with guests.

 The Tulsa chapter of The Institute of Interfaith Dialog hosted its 6th Annual Intercultural Dialog and Friendship Dinner on October 8, 2009. The theme of the dinner was "celebrating democracy as a key to living together." Kamil Celik of IID welcomed guests along with a moment of silence for Jerry Lasker who past away a few weeks ago. The master of ceremonies, Dr. Tom McKeon gave an introduction to IID and the Gulen movement. He said Mr. Gulen did not like the movement called Gulen Movement and he preferred to call it as "Humans united around high human values".

The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID) hosted Bishop Hope Morgan Ward and District Superintendents from Mississippi
Conference of United Methodist Church for lunch at Raindrop Turkish House in
Jackson, MS on October 7th, 2009. Some of Local Turkish-Americans
was also present at the program.
Following lunch prepared by volunteers of
IID in Jackson, Fatih Ozcan, Mississippi Representative of The Institute
of Interfaith Dialog, gave a presentation regarding the IID Dialog Activities.
